(G) US. Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, Odette Yustman, Jamie Lee Curtis
A successful public-relations executive, Marni (Bell) thought her days as a pimple-faced outcast were long gone. But upon returning home, she discovers her brother is marrying her high-school nemesis (Yustman) – whose jet-setting aunt (Weaver), naturally, happens to be the former bête noire of Marni’s not-so-jet-setting mum (Curtis). Since love and boys fall strictly to the side, we can’t tell if this wrongheaded caper was intended as a feminist indictment of female competition or a plain old girl-fight flick. Either way, it’s so inconsistent and broadly drawn that wrongheaded is the operative term.
