The most expensive film ever shot in Lithuania (reportedly with a budget of less than Dhs4 million), War of the Dead doesn’t appear to represent good value for money. Charged by bloggers with ‘a depressing lack of creativity’, aside from a few horror festival screenings, the movie – about a bunch of WW2 soldiers caught up in a tryst with the undead – has only seen cinema screens in Finland and Japan.
