Bruce Campbell interview

Time Out Dubai has a Bruce Campbell interview. The star played Ash Williams in Ash Versus Evil Dead, one of the biggest shows on Starz Play Arabia

Interview

1 What was it like playing Ash Williams again, in Ash Versus Evil Dead on Starz Play Arabia?
It’s great to get back to this character. It’s probably the most fun character there is to play. Now we get to flesh him out even more.

2 How does it feel putting the chainsaw back on?
It reminded me of how much I hate fake blood. That hatred runs deep – it gets everywhere.

3 What’s the biggest difference between filming Ash for TV versus movies?
I love the pace of TV because nothing gets stale. The other Evil Dead were great but I think movies are tedious.

4 You’re known for horror films, are you planning to branch out?
I go where the work is good. I went to New Zealand to work on the show Hercules. It was the most creative set I’ve ever been on. And as actors, that’s what you’re looking for – creativity.

5 Will we see Ash evolve this season?
Definitely. Ash is always sort of a pronounced character and he’s always going to have his quirks. But now he has to be a leader.
