Dubai's first licensed cinema opens its doors

The 180-seater Reel cinema in Jebel Ali is split across four screens

If you’re looking for an A-list experience while watching the latest blockbusters, then this is the perfect cinema for you.

You can now enjoy top food and mixed drinks from the comfort of your cinema seat with the opening of Dubai’s first licensed movie hall. And at Dhs160 for a two-course meal with movie ticket, it’s one of the best-value souped-up cinema experiences in the city.

The complex at Dubai’s Jebel Ali Recreation Club has been opened by US celebrity chef Guy Fieri and makes soggy nachos a thing of the past.

Instead you can tuck into breakfast, brunch, and some substantial-looking burgers, while washing it all down with something refreshing from the fully licenced bar.

The brand-new 180-seater Reel cinema is split across four screens and situated in the newly revamped Jebel Ali Recreation Club, with indoor and outdoor seating for dining.

The complex is a collaboration between Reel Cinemas and Fieri and is now open to cinemagoers.

Chef Fieri, of TV series Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives fame, already has 50 restaurants in the US, but this will be his first venture in the Middle East.

You can enjoy the latest blockbusters as you chow down on fully-loaded trash can nachos piled high with smoked brisket, brown sugar BBQ sauce and lashings of melted cheese, Fieri’s signature big bites including a mac ‘n’ cheese burger, crispy chicken ranch sandwich and a southwest lobster roll.
The food menu prices starters from Dhs30, mains from Dhs65 and desserts from Dhs45.

That’s your Saturday night movie session sorted.
Open daily 9am-midnight. Jebel Ali Recreation Club, Jebel Ali Village, (04 459 5100).
