HAWKERBOI

JLT’s Hawkerboi is now licensed

The opening hours have also been extended

Homegrown Singaporean street food spot Hawkerboi is now licensed.

Opening its doors in JLT in April, the new Asian restaurant is now serving a selection of drinks with its dishes.

From today, you’ll be able to order hops, cocktails, grape to go with your meal.

Hawkerboi was founded in 2021 after hosting a series of sell-out supper clubs in secret locations across Dubai. It has now settled at The Park in Jumeirah Lake Towers.

The restaurant and bar has also updated its opening hours, with extended timings to midnight on weekdays and until 2am on weekends.

On Hawkerboi’s menu

On the menu, you’ll find cereal-fried chicken wings with spiced salt, garlic scapes, smashed cucumber salad with charcoal chilli dressing, Thai basil and sawtooth coriander, chicken and truffle shumai with ginger and black vinegar as well as wagyu skewers with peanut nahm jim and crispy onion.

Mains include Peking-style roast duck, charcoal short ribs with spiced turmeric, grilled paratha and whole fried sea bass with chilli, basil and kaffir lime leaf. For desserts, mango sticky rice with crispy deep-fried paratha is a must-order.

The space at Hawkerboi was inspired by underground bars in South-East Asia, with a vast open kitchen and red neon piping throughout the space.

What we love about Hawkerboi is how easygoing the vibe is. With no strict dress code or reservations, you can just rock up, walk in and enjoy a fuss-free dinner. (You can, however, make a booking if you are a group of six or more).
