Summer is coming, so it’s a good thing this newly-opened ice cream joint is offering some new cooling treats – phew.

Home-grown concept Scoopi Café has revealed a fresh new menu along with a brand new flagship store on Jumeirah Beach Road, and it features a list of sweet and savoury desserts to scream about – because we all scream for ice cream.

It includes creamy creations including bubble waffles, mini-pancakes, waffle fries, crêpes and waffle lollies, along with yoghurt and berry infused recipes for the healthy eaters out there.

Highlights include the bubble waffle dessert that comes with two scoops of ice cream of your choice, two toppings and topped off with chocolate sauce, while the light weight vanilla yoghurt ice cream with mixed berries marks its debut, too.

Popular for its “Black Diamond” ice cream, the café is also adding a new gold creation, the “Edible Charcoal with 23 carat Gold” ice cream.

It’s made with edible food-grade charcoal, lemon and blueberries and topped with gold flakes for that added luxe effect. Want a taste? You can get it at Scoopi Café’s flagship store branch on Jumeirah Beach Road – just along from where it was before.

This year will also see the opening of a new branch in Ras Al Khaimah, meaning you won’t be too far from a Scoopi Café if you’re heading there for a staycation.

If you’re a vegan looking for plant-based creamy goodness, you’ll want to head down to Jelly Belly to try the chocolate coconut scoop.

Luxury lovers will also be happy to know that The Black Diamond is still on the menu. Coming in at around Dhs3,000, the treat is made with exotic Madagascar vanilla ice cream, the planet’s most sought after Iranian saffron and slices of black Italian truffle.

That’s one diamond we’d love.
Open Sat-Wed 1.30pm-12.30am, Thu 1.30pm-2am, Fri 2pm-2am. Various locations including Jumeirah Beach Road, Umm Suqeim 2; Reel Cinemas, Dubai Marina Mall, (800 726674).
