Fruteiro do Brasil
Street-side stalls selling ‘vitaminas’ (aka fresh juices) in all manner of tropical fruit flavours are as common in Brazil as football fans. At this new juice bar in JBR you can sample these fresh and fruity Brazilian concoctions. There is even a beach to complete the Rio-inspired experience.
The Beach, The Walk, JBR (no number).
Sweet Brasilian Café
This is arguably Dubai’s first Brazilian concept (not including the women-only Boteko Brasil in Dubai Ladies Club). The colourful café (decorated in patriotic yellow, green and blue) specialises in both sweet and savoury Brazilian pastries and breads, although there is plenty more on the menu to try.
Al Seef 2, JLT (050 873 8980).
The last in Dubai’s spree of churrasco-concepts to launch, this style of restaurant serves endless cuts of barbecued meats, sliced from skewers at the table. Chamas occupies a vast dining space and lounge and the venue happens to have a Brazilian chef at the helm.

Fogueira Restaurant & Lounge
Dubai’s first standalone churrascaria, there’s a more rustic and intimate vibe here, including the style of decor. Dine on the terrace in cooler months for great views of the Marina.
Ramada Plaza Jumeirah Beach Residence, The Walk, JBR (04 439 8888).
This churrascaria boasts live music, views of the sea and excellent service. There’s a slightly different approach to the dishes, such as a soup option to start, but served at the table.
