This five-star hotel has a brunch and staycation package for two

Stay at Renaissance Downtown Hotel Dubai on Thursdays or Fridays to take on an exquisite Japanese brunch at Morimoto Dubai

1/4

Want to taste the exquisite food from famed Japanese Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto during a staycation? You’ll want to keep an eye on this foodie getaway at Renaissance Downtown Hotel Dubai.

The five-star hotel in Business Bay has a brunch and staycation package that offers two lucky guests the brand-new Morimoto Dubai brunch along with an overnight stay.

For Dhs1,850, two foodies can kick-off their vacation in style with Chef Morimoto’s Japanese-infused signature dishes paired with a selection of house beverages or, for a true Japanese culinary experience, Japanese beverages at the dedicated bar.

Guests can expect a sushi bar station and a series of cold and hot appetisers, along with taking their pick of a variety of signature dishes. Some highlights include braised black cod, hamachi teriyaki with yuzu pickled daikon and ishi yaki buri bop, a dish featuring yellowtail on rice cooked at your table in a hot stone bowl.

There’s even a dish called the angry chicken – a marinated half chicken with roasted peppers. We have a few guesses why it’s angry.

To finish off the brunch on a sweet note, guests will be treated to chef Morimoto’s selection dessert platter, with signature desserts, fruits, ice cream and sorbet.

The good times don’t stop there, as DJ Somalie will be spinning pumping tunes at the brunch after party.

When you’re all partied out, you can simply head to your deluxe room with its chic interior design and look out onto the city skyline. Convenience at its best.

The package has also thrown in breakfast for two at BHAR the morning after to finish off your foodie getaway.

The staycation deal is available for stays on Thursdays and Fridays until Friday December 28, which means guests also have the choice of staying the night before and waking up to the Friday brunch from 12.30pm until 4pm.

Chef Morimoto is famous for competing on Japanese cooking show Iron Chef, later on becoming the star of the American version due to his creative cooking styles.

After a shoulder injury ended a promising career as a baseball catcher in Japan, he eventually started studying sushi and the ways of cooking instead. We couldn’t be happier he did.

That’s not the only brunch and staycay going around, as Aloft Palm Jumeirah offers a brunch at Luchador and a one-night stay for Dhs799.

Don't miss out on this dream foodie getaway.
