Ever dreamed of swimming in the sky among the clouds? Unless you can fly, it’s not likely to happen, but this brand-new hotel will soon offer the next best thing.

New York-based hospitality group sbe has revealed plans for SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences, which will feature two infinity pools right at the very top of the tower.

The two pools will feature panoramic views of Dubai from 75 storeys up, so be sure to conquer that fear of heights.

The new super-tall tower is the first SLS property in the Middle East, with other locations based in the US, and is already more than 60 percent completed – set to open in the third quarter of 2020.

Set in Business Bay right next to Damac Towers by Paramount Hotels & Resorts, the building will feature 254 hotel rooms, 321 hotel apartments, and 371 residential flats.

The property will also boast a rooftop club called Privilege, a mixology lounge offering crafted beverages and stunning views of the city.

The tower is also giving foodies of Dubai two new restaurants to check out, including Italian venue Fi’lia located on the 70th floor, and steakhouse Carna on the 74th floor.

"We couldn't be more proud to bring one of our signature brands to one of the world's luxury capitals,” said Founder and CEO of SLS Sam Nazarian.

"We are delighted to be partnering with sbe on this landmark project. The UAE will soon witness the next level of an uber-modern and hyper-cool lifestyle destination,” said founder and chairman of World of Wonders Real Estate Development Mehmet Nazif Gunal.

There are other projects underway across the city, including an upgrade to DIFC that will triple the scale of the financial hub.

One of Dubai’s first hotels is getting a major refurbishment, all in preparation for the opening of mega resort, JA The Resort at Jebel Ali in September.

While we wait for the new hotel’s opening in 2020, here are a few other places to soak up the views of Dubai by the pool.

2020 couldn’t come any sooner.
