Four new hotels due to open in Dubai this year

We love a good staycation here at Time Out Dubai, and you’ll soon have even more options to add to your must-stay-at list. From family-friendly resorts to budget hotels and city centre spots, here are four hotels to keep on your radar in 2019.

Atlantis Royal Residences
We’re all waiting with baited breath for the incredible structure that is The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences to open its doors at the end of the year, especially as it comes with some pretty big hitters from the culinary world. The resort on the Palm will feature restaurants including acclaimed Greek-Med fusion restaurant Estiatorio Milos, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Jaleo by Chef José Andrés, Hakkasan and Ariana’s Persian Kitchen.
Coming soon. Palm Jumeirah, www.theroyalatlantisresidences.com.

FIVE Jumeirah Village Circle
This could well be one of the city’s most ambitious hotels to date. Mainly because there will be 271 – yes, 271 – swimming pools constructed in this sweeping, 800ft tower in Jumeirah Village Circle. Every apartment in the building will have its own pool and there will also be 247 hotel rooms and suites for guests, totalling more than 500 rooms.
Coming soon. Jumeirah Village Circle

Rove At The Park
This homegrown hotel brand is fast becoming one of our favourites for its fuss-free, fairly-priced and family-friendly attitude. After a string of openings including Dubai Marina, Downtown, Healthcare City, Trade Centre and City Centre, the next edition will be located at Dubai Parks And Resorts and is set to open in June, with further locations including La Mer planned to open over the next two years. ‘Rovers’ at Rove At The Park can expect a 24-hour gym, swimming pool and sundeck, late check out and free WiFi as well as comfortable rooms with modern décor… just a stone’s throw from an array of theme parks including Legoland and motiongate. Prices for Rove Hotels start from as little as Dhs150 a night. Plus, watch this space as Rove La Mer is due to open in 2021, too.
Coming Soon. Dubai Parks and Resorts, Jebel Ali, www.rovehotels.com (05 0517 6833).

Waldorf Astoria DIFC
The Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah is to get an inner city sibling this summer. The equally snazzy property in Dubai International Financial Centre is due to open in August and will have 201 guest rooms, 46 suites and 28 residential apartments, and every room will enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the Dubai skyline. Expect food and drink options in the Bull and Bear restaurant, the St. Trop rooftop lounge and Peacock Alley Lounge and Bar and a state-of-the-art spa and fitness centre.
Coming soon. DIFC, www.waldorfastoria.com/difc.
