One of Dubai’s home-grown brands is going to be bringing ten new restaurants and bars to the emirate within the next 12 months, so residents who love soaking up the city’s dining scene will have some new places to check out.
JA Resorts has confirmed that a brand-new team (many of whom have run Michelin-starred restaurants before) is in place to oversee the launch of new food and drink concepts which they promise try to create “community-focused” places to eat and socialise, alongside “awesome food” and “killer tunes”. Consider us intrigued.
So far a handful new outlets have been announced, but more are set to follow, so stay close to Time Out Dubai for the latest.
JA Ocean View Hotel in JBR will see a new menu coming to the Offside sports bar, while Italian pizzeria Motorino will be in the space formerly occupied by Girders. The global pizza restaurant has got branches in New York, Hong Kong, the Philippines and other locations in Asia, serving up New York/Naples hybrid brick oven pizza. It will be licensed, and will offer up both an indoor and outdoor section.
JA Lake View in Jebel Ali will be home to Republik will be an Australian gastropub inspired by the Sydney and Melbourne dining scene. Bibé will be a rooftop mixed drinks bar with live DJ sets and views out over the neighbouring golf course and Arabian Gulf. Meanwhile, Kinara by Vikas Khanna will be a vibrant Indian restaurant from the renowned international chef.
Finally from the restaurants and bars announced so far, JA Beach Hotel (also in Jebel Ali) will open up Italian restaurant Sette with 360-degree views of the resort, there will be Phoenicia – a Middle Eastern restaurant focusing on contemporary cuisine.
More restaurants are set to be announced soon, so watch this space. JA is also running a cracking deal for UAE residents right now, where you can (sort of) dine for free…
