Inside the imposing and modern-looking Nation Towers lives this hotel. Stepping inside, you’ll soon forget about the fairly formal and faceless exterior, as it gives way to one of the most opulent and inviting lobbies in the UAE.

Make no mistake, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is all about luxury. With fewer than 300 rooms, it’s by no means the biggest hotel in the capital, but it is one of the tallest, with the world’s highest suspended suite straddling the building’s two towers. And, if you have the means, you could always fly in by helicpoter via the hotel’s helipad. If that’s not your style, you could always look out for one of the regular dinners or afternoon teas up there. The views of the whole city are amazing.

Each room comes with butler service so, if you like, you won’t really have to lift a finger. For an even more relaxing time, check out the Remède Spa, which offers a holistic approach to treatments.

Foodies are well looked after here, too, with the Time Out award-winning Villa Toscana offering superb Italian dishes and the all-day venue The Terrace on the Corniche providing an excellent Friday brunch and great weekday theme nights.

If you want to relax with a drink, the classy St. Regis Bar is all gentleman’s club vibes, and the outoor Azura Panoramic Lounge gives great views. Afternoon tea is also a highlight here, and for those who like to sunbathe, the Nation Riviera Beach Club (accessible through an underground passage) is a simply stunning spot.
