New Dubai Marina hotel to be world’s tallest

There are plenty of record-breaking feats in Dubai, and there will soon be one more to add to the city's list.

Ciel is opening soon in Dubai Marina by property developers The First Group, is set to be the world’s tallest hotel when it opens in 2023.

Currently under development, the 82-storey Ciel will be set at a towering height of 360.4m, which is four metres taller than Gevora on Sheikh Zayed Road – currently the emirate’s current tallest.

The hotel has been designed by architecture firm Norr, the team behind Atlantis, The Palm, and will feature 1,209 luxury suites and serviced residences.

Ciel will also boast a glass observation deck with a 360-degree view across Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah and the Arabian Gulf.

Highlights of the hotel once it opens will include a rooftop leisure deck featuring a swimming pool, fitness centre and steam rooms, along with four world-class dining facilities – with two being placed on the rooftop.
