HotelTonight launches in Dubai

Global last-minute hotel bookings mobile app has landed in Dubai and offers reduced rate rooms

There’s nothing like time constraints to put a screeching halt to plans to treat ourselves. Whether it’s sampling food from that new restaurant, finally enjoying some retail therapy at that mall extension or even booking a table at the nightclub everyone seems to be talking about.

If you find yourself ordering coffee to your apartment because you’ve barely enough time to walk out and get one, you might appreciate this free app, newly available in Dubai.

HotelTonight allows mobile users to get a room at one of the city’s great accommodations, making weekend staycations or last-minute business travel extensions a piece of cake.

The mobile-only booking platform works by searching for rooms that are being sold at a reduced rate as hotels look to occupy beds at the last minute. And with 65,000+ rooms in Dubai, one-in-four are said to be empty every night.

HotelTonight recently launched in Russia and Australia and is available in 35 countries around the world.

So people around the globe are being saved by the app which could help find an outstanding gift for a forgotten birthday or anniversary.

Bao Dinh, General Manager Middle East and French Speaking Countries at HotelTonight, says it makes for a fantastic opportunity to live a “life less planned and experience the fantastic hotels that Dubai has to offer at reduced prices”.

Fancy a getaway to somewhere like Ras Al Khaimer every now and again? Worry not because a number of properties in other emirates will also make their rooms available on the platform, which was founded in 2010.

If booking on the day is a little too last-minute for you, HotelTonight allows users to book a room up to seven days in advance, and all hotels are vetted by the San Francisco-based company.
