Jumeirah Beach Hotel
Time Out Says
The hotel, which opened in 1997, is famously shaped like a wave to complement its neighbour, the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.
In 2018, the popular hotel underwent a five-month makeover and reopened with a refreshed look inspired by inspired by sea, sand and nature.
Despite its grand stature and contemporary style with white gold and blue accents throughout, the vibe is friendly and it’s a down-to-earth hotel making it extremely popular with families in search of a spot of fun in the sun.
Peckish? There are 13 restaurants and bars to choose from including family-friendly gastropub D&A, Fika, which translates as a break for coffee and a bite to eat in Swedish, and the classy Uptown Bar which boasts panoramic views across the Arabian Gulf.
One of its major draws is its prime beachfront location, private stretch of beach and sea views. Other highlights included five (yes, five) swimming pools, free unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark for guests and family-friendly facilities including a top-notch kids’ club.
Whether you’re a couple looking for a relaxing getaway (did we mention the swim-up pool bar?) or a family looking to be well-taken care of, this is top choice for all.
