Luxury Bulgari resort opens in Dubai

Private villas, suites, beaches, restaurants and more come to Jumeira Bay

One of the latest editions to Dubai’s luxury hotel scene, Bulgari Resort Dubai, has opened in the luxurious surroundings of Jumeira Bay, otherwise known as the Seahorse Island.

Back in October we covered the news that the premium jewellery brand was in the final stages of readying its first Middle East resort, and it is now ready for you to go and check out.

You can now stay in one of 101 rooms at the resort, or hire out one of 20 premium, private beachfront villas – oh, and each one comes with its own private beach.

The resort is run in partnership with Meraas, and is found just up the Jumeirah coastline from the recently opened La Mer. In the resort itself, you can check out flagship restaurant Il Ristorante Niko Romito, the chef with a three-Michelin starred restaurant in Italy who will personally train a resident chef in Dubai to bring a menu that “expresses Italian culture at its best”, and we can’t wait to try it. For sundowners, head to Il Bar, with a range of signature beverages and sweeping views across the Arabian Gulf. Elsewhere, there will be relaxing lounges for Italian-themed teas, and the relaxed Il Café for some stripped back Italian flavours.

If all that wasn’t enough, traipse along La Spiaggia – the resort’s private beach – with private villa cabanas, a children’s pool and club area, an outdoor pool and an outdoor restaurant serving international food and drinks. Sit by the sea under an array of lanterns and candlelight – sounds alright to us.

“The journey to the opening of a resort of this scale, is always a long and much anticipated one,” said Pep Lozano, the resort’s general manager. “We couldn’t be happier with how spectacular this resort has become. It is something very unique for guests to come to an island within the heart of a city, where we will be the only resort. It is like a private island yet minutes from some of the city’s most famous attractions. We are extremely proud to have secured this incredible location.”

With all of these suites, villas, restaurants (and even a private marina), this could be one of the biggest new resort openings to hit this city in years, and looks like one worth checking out.
