Exclusive new hotel coming to Uptown Dubai

This fabulous new hotel is opening in the new Uptown Dubai and we can't wait to make our reservations.

AccorHotels has revealed its new property SO/, which is set to open by 2020.

It will feature 188 rooms and 215 residences decked out with contemporary interiors.

Architecture firm Rockwell Group is designing the property, which promises to feature an edgy and bold look.

SO/ Uptown is aiming to be a hub of art and entertainment at the heart of Dubai.

It will join seven towers, seven different levels and podiums that are planned to be built for the rest of Uptown Dubai.

The site will also house 200 retail and food and beverage outlets.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC Executive Chairman, said: “DMCC is excited to be the ‘first to say SO/’ by bringing the debut SO/ in the Middle East to our first super-tall tower in Uptown Dubai in partnership with AccorHotels.

"SO/ is a bold and innovative brand much like the spirit of Dubai and DMCC’s Uptown Dubai district. We are confident this partnership will bring a spectacular destination to market for our customers, at our premium super-tall tower set to disrupt the Dubai skyline as we know it”.

Set on the site formerly known as Burj2020, Uptown Dubai will deliver a 10 million square foot residential and enterprise hub. The district is planned to be larger than Times Square in New York.

If only we could make our reservations now. In the mean time, we'll settle for these staycation deals.
