Essentially one of Dubai’s most family-friendly brunches, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi’s Mina Gardens are now home to Pik-Nik, which has returned for another season of intensive brunching.

It’s on a Saturday, so mums and dads still get a relaxing Friday before heading straight into play area mayhem – aw, we do it for the kids don’t we?

Pik-Nik takes place on the hotel’s lush lawns from noon to 5pm, where you can grab a table, lounge on beanbags or throw down a blanket and enjoy a care-free afternoon inthe sunshine. Well, almost care-free.

The kids will want to head down to where all the fun is happening, where a dedicated space is bound to keep them entertained with a bouncy castle, games and live music. You can check up on them and go back to enjoying the day away from the sun and the gorgeous views of the Arabian Gulf. Oh, and then there’s the food.

Waiting to be devoured at Pik-Nik, there’s a range of tasty hot dogs, barbeque items, fish and chips, tacos and healthy options on offer, alongside an assortment of soft drinks and house beverages.

You can also get a hamper of goodies, namely your Pik-nik basket, filled with a delicious assortment of salads, dips and dressings, cold cuts, cheese, breads and sweets. It’s good for two adults and two kids. There’s no way you’ll run out of picnic food options in there...

The setting at Pik-Nik is a cheerful one, with kids running around between mouthfuls while parents lounge on picnic rugs, nibbling at fresh baguette and all the things it can be eaten with.

And, of course, if hitting the beach is on your list, there’s an access pass for Dhs595 too, and it comes with a picnic basket.

See that sign that says “picnic area”? That’s the one to follow. Alternatively, you could just trace the sounds of happy laughter and clinks of ice cubes in lemonade glasses. We can smell those fresh baguettes already.
Dhs595 (basket and beach access), Dhs250 (basket), Dhs188 (barbeque), Dhs45 (fish and chips), Dhs35 (tacos or hot dogs), Dhs25 (healthy and green). Saturdays noon-5pm. The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Al Sufouh (04 511 7373).
