Families can take part in Chinese New Year activities across the destination

Dance with dragons at Dubai Parks And Resorts

Dubai Parks And Resorts’ Motiongate Dubai, Riverland Dubai and LEGOLAND Dubai will be celebrating Chinese New Year with a line-up of entertainment for the whole family.

From Friday February 1 until Saturday February 9, you’ll be transported to the streets of Mainland China at Riverland Dubai, which will be all decked up with red and gold Chinese traditional lanterns.

You’ll get to enjoy roaming parades and traditional, themed activities including couplet pasting and ceremonies that showcase the harmony of tea-making in Chinese culture. You can also look forward to Chinese dances and a sound, light and colour Dragon on the River show, and it all takes place daily from 2pm to 10pm.

Don’t miss the festive market, where you’ll find plenty of arts and crafts. Plus, spectacular fireworks will light up the sky on Monday February 4.

At Motiongate Dubai, kids will join their favourite characters every day from 2pm to 7pm until Wednesday February 13 for flash mobs and a special parade with the friendliest kung-fu panda in town, Po.

Also celebrating is LEGOLAND Dubai, which will be hosting everything from mosaic-building workshops to a wishing wall for kids from Tuesday February 5 until Saturday February 16. Little ones can feast on fortune cookie milkshakes and slurp some freshly made noodles at the world of LEGO, too.

Whoever spots LEGOLAND staff wearing a golden badge can swap it for a complimentary day ticket to come back and have all the fun one more time.

Dragon dancing, fireworks and noodles? We can’t wait to celebrate at the parks.
