Family fun hub Wavehouse to open this weekend on the Palm

The family-friendly Atlantis The Palm has something rather massive in store for its youngest visitors and their parents. Opening its doors on Friday, February 1, Wavehouse is the newest entertainment destination in town with tonnes of stuff that you're going to want to check out.

The concept brings together live music, gaming, bowling, dining and a wave machine all in one place, giving you more options for those day-to-night outings with the brood.

Located in The Avenues and overlooking Aquaventure Waterpark, it blends grown-up time with family activities so that you can spend the day with the kiddies without jumping into a ball pit.

For youngsters and adults seeking a good strike, a four-lane, ten-pin bowling alley awaits complete with visual 3D mapping projections (and super plush couches). Lanes can be hired from Dhs60 per person, per game from noon to 1am daily.

Little and not-so-little ones can also head to the LEVELS arcade and soft play zone, where they’ll find five levels of padded mazes, climbing frames and mega slides. Plus, over 50 games including the world’s largest Pac Man – yep, you heard that right.

For Fortnite lovers, there’s a dedicated Xbox playing zone too, as well as a multi-function party room. Available daily from noon to 1am, you can get a multi-entry pass to LEVELS for Dhs75.

One of the coolest Wavehouse activities is Wave Rider, a machine that shoots more than seven tonnes of water per second, perfect for body or knee-boarding. Surfing experts will love this water-filled attraction, available daily from 10am until 6pm for Dhs100 per person.

Wavehouse Restaurant will serve up some delicious eats for all-day dining (rainbow sliders, here we come), and it has a kids’ menu for hungry tots too. Little ones can tuck into the usual favourites, including margarita pizza and burger and chips. Families can also brunch every Friday from 1pm to 4pm at The Brady Brunch, where kids up to the age of ten years old eat free.

There’s also a family terrace and adult-only bar, the ultimate spot for a totally chilled out afternoon with live entertainment and a DJ playing three times a week.

Nowthat sounds like a good Friday.
