If you’re looking to give your kids something different to do this summer in the UAE, then McDonald’s might have just the thing.

But we’re not talking about just visiting the fast-food chain for an ice cream.

The restaurant has launched a Mini Crew Camp, which is designed to give children a taste of what it’s like to work at McDonald’s.

Kids aged five to ten can go behind the scenes and learn how to make some of the chain's food and get some real-life training.

The programme also includes fun activities like designing a Happy Meal box and dancing.

Running until the end of August, kids can take part in the camp at ten McDonald’s branches throughout Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Al Ain.

They include Al Mariah Cinema, The Mall at the World Trade Center and Al Ruwais in Abu Dhabi, and Jumeirah Beach, Spinneys Bur Dubai, Lulu Village and Al Muhaisnah in Dubai.

The four-day programme runs from Sunday to Wednesday with sessions held from 11am to 1pm, and 4pm to 6pm.

It costs Dhs100 per child and this includes one Happy Meal per day, cap, apron and end-of-camp certificate.

For more information email minicrew@mcdonalds-uae.com.
Dhs100. Sun-Wed, until Aug 31. Various locations, including The Mall at the World Trade Center, Abu Dhabi and Jumeirah Beach, Dubai (60 058 8885).
