My Discovery Lab Dubai launches fun science book for kids

Budding Albert Einsteins will love The Big Blast Off

My Discovery Lab Dubai launches fun science book for kids

Have a wannabe Isaac Newton on your hands? This brand-new book by Dubai's My Discovery Lab will be right up their street.

The science-themed storybook, by Nichola Fisher the science teacher behind My Discovery Lab and Rock it Science science teacher and the founder of Rock it Science – an events company that organises themed parties – has now thrown herself into the world of literature.

Fisher's co-author on the book is Samantha Armstrong.

Aimed at little ones between three and seven, the book follows Marie, Newton, and Robot who have heaps of fun in their lab carrying out fun experiments as they learn how forces make things move, and even venture into the dizzying realms of space discovery.

Underlying the key elements of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM), The Big Blast Off not only teaches little wannabe scientists about each of these areas, but with various interactive elements and challenges means they can experiment themselves as the story unfolds. Expect lots of giggles.

Bring your baby Einsteins to the launch event and get your hands on a copy of the book on Friday November 8 at Bookworm in The Meadows where there will be a chance to take in some live science shows as well as interactive rocket activities.

Start the countdown... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... blast off!

Free (book launch). Fri Nov 8, 9am-12pm. Bookworm, The Town Centre Meadows, www.bookworm.ae.
Dhs35 (The Big Blast Off book). Available at Bookworm and www.mydiscoverylab.com.
