EXPO 2020: UAE-Based schools can sign up to educational tours

With just under a year to go until Expo 2020 kicks off, schools across the UAE are now able to sign up to the EXPO School Programme, which includes a series of educational tours.

There are a series of four tours to choose from that have each been specially curated to compliment the existing curriculum of locally-based schools.

And to make reserving the class a spot as straightforward and hassle-free as possible, a brand-new online booking system has been launched meaning teachers can book tickets for their students from the comfort of their desks.

Details of Expo 2020's exciting educational programmes were revealed at a three-day Expo School Leaders Forum attended by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Expo 2020 Dubai, and Her Excellency Jameela Bint Salem Mesbeh Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education.

Marjan Faraidooni, Chief Pavilions and Exhibitions Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai said: “The first World Expo ever held in the region is an unmissable educational platform. Maximising the opportunities offered through the Expo School Programme tours will ensure school students enjoy an exceptional learning experience that is full of fun and entertainment, empowering future generations and cementing Expo 2020 Dubai's legacy"

Over one million student visits have already been confirmed to go ahead during the six month show, with schools such as Amity Education Group, Al Arabia Educational Development, Kings' School Nad Al Sheba and Jebel Ali School having already signed up.

Expo 2020 Dubai will run from October 20 to April 10 2021, with pavilions open and entertainment scheduled between 10am and 1am on weekdays, and 10am to 2am on weekends. Tickets will be on sale in April 2020, starting from Dhs120.
