JBR is now home to Dubai's first Willy Wonka-themed restaurant.

Fans of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will love this brand-new restaurant that serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner every day.

The menu features a selection of international cuisine, but with a Russian twist.

(Our advice is that it might best to avoid any blueberries, we all know what happened to Violet Beauregarde.)

Inspired by Willy Wonka's crazy, colourful chocolate factory and the little round, orange people who run it, Oompa Loompa Restaurant has a colourful play area and soft play zone that will keep the little ones happy for hours.

If they do manage to burn themselves out and you aren't ready to leave yet mums and dads, sit them down to watch a movie or do some colouring while you polish off your waffles.

But it's not all about just one children's classic.

Eagle-eyed lovers of Lewis Caroll's Alice in Wonderland will notice a nod to Alice's adventures with hand-drawn pieces of art covering the walls showing her journey.

And because what child doesn't want to have a go at making their own chocolate, you can sign them up to a 90-minute Willy Wonka-themed masterclass complete with edible paints.

While the restaurant is welcoming families with a limited menu, the official opening isn't scheduled for mid-February when diners will be able to enjoy the full experience.

Best of all, you don't even need a golden ticket.
