Dubai Shopping Festival 2020: Mercato celebrates with family-friendly Italian festival

Heaps of activities for kids, plus opportunities to win big at this Dubai shopping mall

Dubai Shopping Festival 2020: Mercato celebrates with family-friendly Italian festival

To mark the 25th Dubai Shopping Festival, Mercato Mall in Jumeirah is going all with an Italian-themed carnival.

The Dubai shopping mall is ramping up the celebrations until Sat Feb 1 where as well as loads of activities for the kids, mums and dads will be able to indulge in a spot of retail therapy and win big prizes.

The Italian festivities include a variety of entertainment from the boot-shaped European country such as a comedic opera, street acts, live bands and musicians, as well as stage shows that promise to amaze the whole gang from the little kids to the bigger ones.

And for the mini shoppers? A Venetian creative workshop for children of all ages is taking place where they will be able to unleash their creativity by designing Italian-style masquerades.

Bu the fun doesn't stop there because the mall will be home to a colourful masquerade ballet where original Venetian masques will be unveiled.

Parents can grab a bargain at any of the Mercato shops from Laura Ashley and Mango to Virgin and The Toy Store (just in case the kids didn't get enough pressies at Christmas) thanks to loads of in-store promotions.

Plus, if you spend Dhs200 in the mall (or in Town Centre Jumeirah) you will be given a special coin to toss into a magic fountain and be in with a chance of winning Dhs25,000 every day, as well as various smaller prizes.
Free. Daily until Sat Feb 1, Sun-Wed 10am-10pm; Thu-Sat 10am-midnigh; 4pm (The Masquerade Ball). Mercato Mall, Jumeirah Beach Road, Dubai, www.mercatoshoppingmall.com (04 344 4161).
