Dubai Heights Academy will be opening a secondary school

Dubai Heights Academy (DHA) will be opening a secondary school in September 2020.

Mums and dads with kids in their final years at primary school, listen up.

From the start of the next academic school year, the Al Barsha-based school will be welcoming students into years seven and eight.

Kids attending DHA's brand-new secondary campus phase will be able to choose from a wide range of subjects.

They will also have access to state-of-the-art facilities including temperature-regulated outdoor pools, an indoor pool, gym, 372-seat cinematic auditorium, full-sized football pitch and specialist labs for science, IT, kitchens, art and music.

In preparation for the big launch later this year, Rob Hitchings has been appointed as Vice Principal of the secondary school and will be assisting the academy's principal Alison Lamb with the overall running of DHA.

Hitchings, who has over 20 years’ UK and international experience in new, developing and established school environments, will also take on leadership of DHA’s new secondary school phase and being responsible for all elements of digital learning.

DHA principal Alison Lamb, said: “We are gearing up for a monumental year at DHA, welcoming our first ever group of Year 7 and 8 students in 2020, and Vice Principal Rob will be instrumental in the teaching and development of these students who will become our first group of students to complete their GCSE’s in January 2024”.

Interested? Why not go and have a look round.

Prospective parents and their children can sign up to a school tour on Mondays or Wednesdays at 9am.
