The KHDA has declared that students of determination in Dubai will no longer pay additional charges with their school fees

There's great money-saving news for parents of children of determination. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced plans to remove any additional charges for students of determination in Dubai from their school fees.

Instead, all pupils attending school in Dubai will pay the same school fees.

The news comes with the release of the educational educational quality assurance and regulatory authority of the Government of Dubai's Directives and Guidelines for Inclusive Education handbook.

Over the past three years, the KHDA has worked with parents, students, educators and regulators to develop guidelines to help make schools more inclusive.

Private schools and governing boards are expected to use the new handbook as a reference guide.

Previously schools in the emirate refused to offer a place to students of determination based on the lack of facilities on campus as well as the required support.

But from the start of the next academic year, which kicks off in September 2020, the KHDA has explained that all students will pay the same fees.
