Dogwalk is hosting a canine first aid training course

A cool new course is coming to Dubai that will teach you canine first aid.

The UK's Canine First Aid Company is running a course that covers first aid training for pet owners should their four-legged friend face a medical emergency.

Taking place on both Friday March 13 and Saturday March 14 at Dogwalk in Al Quoz, the five-hour seminar promises to teach dog mums and dads what to do if their fur baby gets sick, has an accident or gets into a fight.

From finding a pulse and teaching doggie CPR (dog-breath aside) to stemming serious bleeding and treating an insect bite.

The experts will even show pet parents how to make a makeshift muzzle for a pooch in pain who might be likely to bite.

The course is open to anyone over the age of 14 so get the teenagers involved too, you never know when being able to stop Fido from choking or being able to put Butch in the recovery position from might come in handy.

We all know that they are more than pets, they are family.
