UAE schools and universities to continue distance learning until end of academic year

All UAE schools and universities will continue distance learning until the end of the academic year.

Schools and universities across the UAE were initially closed on March 8 for a period of four weeks as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The Ministry of Education announced that all public and private schools and higher education facilities will remain closed until the end of the academic year across the UAE.

Educational facilities will continue to work using distance learning systems.

According to the announcement made on social media, the decision was made “in response to the exceptional circumstances and national efforts to adopt the best mechanisms to preserve society”.

More announcements will be made and shared with school and universities and students and parents in the coming weeks.
