Kids' clubs in Dubai hotels can now reopen

Kids’ clubs in Dubai hotels are now able to reopen, as restrictions across the emirate ease.

As of today (Thursday June 18) age restrictions in Dubai have been lifted, meaning that kids under 12 and adults over 60 are no longer barred from entering Dubai’s malls and attractions (for more on that, click here).

And now hotels in Dubai can reopen their kids'clubs.

Parties, gatherings and events, electronic or arcade games, ball pits and inflatable areas are not allowed to reopen.

Strict health and safety measures are in place, including temperature checks on entry and dedicated staff to screen staff and kids for fever and symptoms on arrival and throughout the day.

Staff are encouraged to keep kids in the club during the day, but if they do leave, then need to change gloves, masks and clothing on returning.

There will be staggered entry and exit times at specific areas for families for pick-up and drop offs, and there will be no access to other areas of the facility to parents and carers.

Kids under six years old are exempt from wearing face masks, and staff are encouraged to wear transparent face coverings to enable lip reading and facial expression.

There will be strict breaks for hand washing and clubs must follow sanitation guidelines.

Clubs must provide four square metres per child to allow for social distancing, while the use of soft toys and toys that are hard to clean is not allowed. Books, toys, pens, crayons and arts and crafts materials must be sanitised after every use, and toys and food should not be shared.

Dubai's 3D and 4D cinemas are also now open, as are waterparks, swimming pools, museums and beaches.
