Through video call Zoom app, the programme starts with a one-hour session with parents to establish a base for the training and to answer the questions they may have about dog training and behaviour.
From there, every three days kids will be sent a video explaining how to train their dog with basic obedience commands, including sit, down, stand, leave it, drop it, stay, touch, go to your bed and more.
Paw Pals also has a list of group training sessions for the whole family (pup included) to get involved with, including group obedience classes where the main focus is impulse control, good communication and listening even in an environment full of distractions.
There’s also a weekly games nights which features egg and spoon races, musical chairs and more all with your four-legged pal. It’s followed by a dinner that not only offers a great meal, but teaches dogs how to behave in a restaurant.
Paw Pals is also a member of the Pet Professional Guild, and uphold the principles of using force-free training methods.
For those after a spot to put those skills to the test, JLT now has a new dog park to do just that.
