Café Ceramique: The café comes into its own over the summer, either for a one-off visit or its three-day summer camps including, funnily enough, ceramic painting, plus crafts, cooking and games.

Centre for Musical Arts: Introduce your kids to music with camps that combine instruments and note reading with arts and crafts (ages 5-7 and 8-12). Those who can already read music and play an instrument can join bands and ensembles for woodwind, brass and strings, and there’s a guitar group, jazz ensemble, folk band and theory club. Instrumental lessons are also available (Ages 6+).

Children’s Oasis Play Centre:

Plenty of ‘summer fun’ where kids get stuck into a wide variety of activities including intriguing customised programmes such as Little Cooks, Mushy Junk and Mini Picasso.

Circus and magic camp: Run by Laugh Out Loud!, little clowns learn circus arts such as acrobatics, juggling, stilt walking, rola bola, magic and more – with an end-of-week show for family and friends.

Cité des Enfants: A fantastic educational experience, pop the kids in for a 45-minute learning activity followed by 75 minutes supervised play in the exhibition area.

Core Kidz Summer Camp:

Dubai Drums: ‘Empowering kids with healthy values’ is the aim of Dubai Drums’ summer camp. That and banging on drums, one assumes. Sessions also include puppet shows, storytelling, arts, crafts, drama, team games and lots of rhythmic activities.

Dubai Festival City: A range of classes including aerobics, drama, arts, crafts, cake decorating, dancing (ballroom and modern) singing, modelling – and a talent show for tots.

Dubai Holiday Camps: These action-packed programmes include footie, water polo, dodgeball and rounders as well as drama, music and plenty of arts and crafts. Kids can attend for half a day or a full day and, for an extra Dhs150, there are classes where they can polish up on their weaker subjects before joining in the afternoon activities.

DUCTAC: Many groups run their summer programmes from here, and Ductac runs its very own morning art camps where kids can get stuck into painting, pottery and more.

E-Sports: Covering all areas of Dubai and every sporty or crafty activity imaginable, there’s bound to be an E-Sports camp near you (and transport is available).

Kids can use their time off to learn a new language – and have fun of course – in programmes across different levels and age groups in English, Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Italian and American sign language.
