Catch a match at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club
Pop down to the polo club for a picnic and an afternoon match – you can bring your own picnic or rely on the venue to do all the cooking for you. Choose from one of the polo picnic boxes, packed full of snacks and nibbles.

Cook up a storm at Waves Pool Lounge
Don’t miss the chance for your kids to learn some culinary skills. Sign up your mini masterchef for the kids’ cooking club, which is ideal for children aged three and above, and offers something different on the menu every Saturday. Today’s special? Dracula blood! Adults can enjoy a laid-back afternoon with a 15 per cent discount on food and drinks.

Rocking All Over the World at Madinat Jumeirah
This musical extravaganza features a talented 11-piece cast paying tribute to musical icons including Celine Dion, U2, ABBA, Madonna, Bon Jovi and Michael Jackson. Hosted by comic actress Bronwyn Evans, the show is interspersed with sketches from comedy characters.

Enjoy messing around in boats?
Don’t miss the chance to head down to the Volvo Ocean Race in Abu Dhabi, which ends today. There are lots of free activities for the kids to get involved in, from free paddleboarding sessions to simulators where you can relive life on the seas during the race.

See Beauty and the Beast in 3D
The kids will never say no to a Disney movie, no matter how many times they’ve watched it. And with 3D the big trend for the coming year, that’s all the more reason to watch this remake of the timeless classic. Watch an enchanted candelabra, teapot and mantle clock dance while the beautiful Belle and the mighty Beast fall in love all over again.

Check out the DSF festivities with the family
Dubai Shopping Festival is here, with tons of things to do for the whole family. Splurge on some of the mega sales currently being held at malls across the city, or let the kids loose at the carnival at Emaar Boulevard, which starts at 8pm. There’ll be plenty of fireworks and entertainment to keep them occupied (and the free sweets given out during the parade are bound to get them excited).

Sign up for a mums-only drama workshop at Ductac
An opportunity for mums to prove that you don’t have to be a kid to be creative. Stage Mothers is a workshop organised by Kids’ Theatre Works that gives mums the chance to work on a variety of character studies, scenes and group exercises, ending in a performance for family and friends. It’s your time to shine, even if you have no previous experience.
