Head to Ping Pong for an Eastern-style extravaganza of Easter fun. As well as the usual dim sum bites, every family dining at Ping Pong this week will have the opportunity to win a prize by choosing a hand-painted egg from the Easter basket. Kids will also be kept busy painting their own Easter eggs in the Ping Pong crèche or having their faces painted courtesy of the resident Easter Bunny, leaving mums and dads free to relax over a mocktail.
Prices vary. Open 11am-midnight. Until April 8. Ping Pong, The Dubai Mall, (04 339 9088).

Thursday 5

The Pirates! Band of Misfits opens today
If you’re a fan of movies made by animation group Aardman (the people behind Wallace & Gromit et al), the latest Plasticine/CGI offering is hitting cinema screens today. The Pirates! The raggle-taggle heroes are desperately trying to win the Pirates of the Year Award, a competition that puts them head to head with a far meaner bunch of sea-farers.
At cinemas across Dubai.
