Easter dim sum treats at Ping Pong
Head to Ping Pong for an Eastern-style extravaganza of Easter fun. As well as the usual dim sum bites, every family dining at Ping Pong this week will have the opportunity to win a prize by choosing a hand-painted egg from the Easter basket. Kids will also be kept busy painting their own Easter eggs in the Ping Pong crèche or having their faces painted courtesy of the resident Easter Bunny, leaving mums and dads free to relax over a mocktail.

The Pirates! Band of Misfits opens today
If you’re a fan of movies made by animation group Aardman (the people behind Wallace & Gromit et al), the latest Plasticine/CGI offering is hitting cinema screens today. The Pirates! Band of Misfits tells the tale of high-seas adventure and some very disorganised pirates. The raggle-taggle heroes are desperately trying to win the Pirates of the Year Award, a competition that puts them head to head with a far meaner bunch of sea-farers.

Easter fun at the Radisson Blu Deira Creek
The Radisson’s legendary Good Friday brunch offers the usual choice of buffet stations from 11 different outlets, plus egg hunts, face painting, a kids’ buffet and a magic show. Hop to it for Easter at Kids Zone Nursery
This Dubailand venue is putting on a whole heap of fun and activities at its Great Easter Egg Hunt. Browse the stalls and let the kids loose on arts, crafts, face and egg painting, plus there are real live rabbits and cute chicks care of the nice folks at Posh Paws Animal Sanctuary.

Easter golf tournament
Swing into the adult and child golf tournament, played on the Par 3 course at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club. Each team comprises two players – one adult and one child aged 15 years and under. The competition is a greensomes format, whereby both players hit a tee shot and then choose the ball that’s in the best position. Alternate shots are then played until the hole is completed. Handicaps are not required and the winner will be the team with the best overall gross score.

Easter egg hunt at Little Explorers

Go for a bike ride in Mushrif Park
Soon it’s going to start getting way too hot for outdoor bike rides, so why not burn off some of those excess calories consumed over the Easter weekend and pack up your bikes for an outing at Mushrif Park? This well-cared-for nature reserve and park has a 2.5km cycle track, with all sorts of interesting detours for little ones to explore and enough hills to leave you comfortably out of breath. Afterwards, the kids can play on the swings, explore the miniature village or have a dip in the municipality swimming pools.
