Snap snap snap!
Want to get up close and personal with some of nature’s most fearsome beasts? Check out the brand new Crocodylia exhibit at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. It showcases several different species of croc, including Cuvier’s dwarf caiman and the African dwarf crocodile, as well as a host of fascinating croc-based activities. Just don’t get too close to those teeth.

Movies and Munchies at Desert Palm
Combine two fun activities into one: at Desert Palm’s Movies and Munchies evening, not only do you get to munch on popcorn and snacks as you watch Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows with the family, you’ll also get to do it from the comfort of the resort’s swimming pool.

Read all about it
Did you know that tomorrow is International Literacy Day? Prepare in advance by signing up for membership to the Old Library at Ductac. Established in 1969, it’s the oldest English-language library in Dubai, and houses nearly 20,000 books for all ages just waiting to be read.

Get those skates on
Every day, the first session at Dubai Ice Rink offers special discounts for mums and little ones under 100cm tall. There are instructors on hand to help you stay on your feet and learn the basics, plus helmet hire and ‘Penguin Pals’ for kids to grab onto as they slip and slide their way around the ice.

Try something new at Appleseeds
The new semester at Appleseeds starts today. This new kids’ centre in the Gold & Diamond Park offers a wide range of fun activities to try: We like ‘Cooking Monsters’, a hands-on culinary class where they’ll have a go at making (and eating!) different cuisines from around the world, as well as learning about origins and culture surrounding each dish. Suitable for kids aged two and a half to five (kids under three must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver).
