With the Nippers

Ice-skating at Dubai Ice Rink
Bundle up and hit the ice with Dubai Ice Rink’s great mums and kids deal. Entry to the first skate session is half price. From 10am to 12pm Sunday to Wednesday it’s two-for-the- price-of-one. And if you can’t remember how to skate, there’s a handy coach on standby to assist with the finer points of your pirouettes.

Baby Yoga At FlowYoga
How about yoga with bubbs? Developed from Hatha yoga there’s gentle stretching and soothing motions for strengthening your wee one’s spine, developing supple joints and enlivening their body’s systems. A one-hour mother and baby yoga session including songs, yoga postures and stretches, baby moves, relaxation and refreshments and costs Dhs60 per class. Booking is essential.

Posh Paws Petting Farm
If you’re at a loss for this morning and the little Dr Doolittles are looking for some fun, try Posh Paws Farm. It’s completely free to enter (well except for a bag of veg and fruit for the critters) and you can feed, groom or just hang-out with the menagerie which has everything from lizards to goats.

Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Club
This gorgeous club situated on The Walk at JBR has something for everyone. Boasting beach frontage, loungers, acres of grass to play games or have a picnic and pool if you don’t like all that sand, and a restaurant should you feel peckish. The club has a weekday deal Sun-Thu adults Dhs100 kids aged 5-16, Dhs60 and completely free for children aged four and under.

Just for mums

Zumba and belly dancing
Want to tone up or just have some fun, DanceFitME has a rocking dancer-cise whatever pace you want to keep. There’s Zumba classes from 9am and belly dancing at 10am, each weekday morning.
Prices are Dhs50 per session or 10 classes for Dhs450, 20 classes for Dhs800 and 1 month unlimited classes for Dhs1000. DanceFitME is located at Interchange 4, Sheikh Zayed (055 928 4491,04 388 4157).

Relax with B/Attitude Spa
Get away from it all for a with the luxurious Ultimate Arabian Indulgence spa special. This quite frankly essential, mamma stress reliever includes a royal hammam followed by a much needed 30-minute back, head or foot massage. To finish or possibly start, why not try the complimentary use of their steam, sauna, Jacuzzi and hammam pools.

Lunch for less
If you fancy an adult lunch, not spooning it into other small mouths at the same time, then why not try Armani/Peck at the Armani hotel. This Burj Khalifa located restaurant is offering an amazing daytime deal. Two courses for just Dhs130 and thre courses for Dhs160 available Sun to Thu 12.30pm to 3pm. The menu changes weekly but the deal remains the same, so go on, treat yourself.

Learn to dive
If you have a morning to spare why not consider learning a new skill that will not only impress your friends but improve any future holidays. The PADI Open Water Course at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel resort takes you through all the basics from the safety of their swimming pool before setting you lose in open water. Courses are available to suit your schedule.

KidzArt art classes
If you want to get arty along with the little ones try Squiggles and Grins for kids aged two to four. Let ’em go nuts creating some original masterpieces and they won’t even know they’re actually learning the ‘language’ of art. There’s also storytelling, poetry, and sing-alongs.
Squiggles and Giggles sessions are 45minutes, AL Barsha, Saturday 10.00am-10.45am and cost Dhs65 (per class) materials included. Registration is required for the entire sessions of 6 or 8 weeks.

Skateboarding at Dubai Mall
Watch em’ learn their ollies, flips, stalls, grinds and slides at Rage skateboarding bowl, while hanging-out with the gnarliest skate riders in the region. A session in the ‘bowl’ will cost an amazing Dhs25. While lessons are also available at Dhs125 per person for groups.
