Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre shares some sensible advice

Community

Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre offers some ideas for New Year’s resolutions for animal lovers.

Don’t Shop, adopt Planning to get a pet? At RAKAWC there are 20 dogs and 15 cats at any one time waiting to find their forever homes. When they are brought in to RAKAWC, the staff vaccinate, microchip and desex them. They also go through behavior assessment, basic obedience training and socialisation with people and other cats and dogs.

Walk If you cannot adopt a pet you can still help by joining the RAKAWC sponsored walk on January 18 or volunteering to walk their dogs on a regular basis. You’ll feel much better after a bit of exercise and the dogs will love you for it!

Volunteer Sign up for the RAKAWC Volunteer Orientation Day on Tuesday, January 14th. They rely on volunteers to help us in several key areas including events, admin work and cat and dog socialisation.
