For the kids

50% for kids at Tony Romas

There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but kids can now eat from the kids menu at Tony Romas on weekdays for 50% off with every adult Entrée ordered. Get stuck into succulent signature steaks, chicken delights, seafood, salads, soups and more.

Kidzania Hotel

Why not get the kids down to the newest experience on the block at Kidzania – the Kidzania Rotana Hotel. The hotel mimics the design of a real Rotana Hotel with dedicated lobby, Zen Spa and restaurant lookalikes where kids aged four to 16 can try out three 20 minute role plays from working as receptionist for room reservations, a restaurant officer and housekeeping colleagues.

Crafty kids
Check out the regular kids art workshops at the Maraya Art centre, many of which are completely free. In May, shadow puppets is just one of the themes on offer where kids aged five to 10 learn about creating shadow puppets and perform a short play with the fruits of their labours.

Shangri-La family fun
Get away for the weekend with the Shangri-La family fun offer where kids can eat for free when adults book a suite for their stay. Interconnected suites will also be offered to families where available to keep the kids close at hand but still far enough away to leave you with some quiet time. Baby Bazaar

The much loved monthly flea market where Mums can sell their quality pre-loved baby, toddler and maternity items is back, but this time, due to popular demand they will be hosting their first ever two day event on the 25th and 26th April. An exciting addition to the news of the two day market, Baby Bazaar will also be hosting a special nursery open day event alongside the market where parents will have the opportunity to meet a range of nurseries and ask any questions they may have about their fees, facilities and more. As usual, there will also be loads of giveaways and lots of activities to ensure the kids are kept thoroughly amused and entertained.

If you live anywhere near the JBR neighbourhood, get down to the new cinema complex at The Beach. With seven standard screens and three platinum suites all the latest releases in both 2D and 3D are closer to home than ever before. There’s plenty of parking and it’s free for up to three hours with a validated movie ticket. For the obligatory movie snack, a gourmet popcorn shop is also on hand with a flavour to suit every taste from salted caramel to blueberry and everything in between.
