Kids' menu at Arrows & Sparrows

Amy Mathieson checks out the brand-new kids’ menu at Arrows & Sparrows

Here at Time Out Kids we’re big fans of relaxed weekends and Dubai’s growing café culture. Which is why we love Arrows & Sparrows in The Greens, the second outlet from the team behind Friends’ Avenue Café in JLT, which boasts funky décor and a chilled-out vibe.
Arrows & Sparrows has also introduced a brand-new kids’ menu, which is, of course, why you’re reading about it in these pages.

“Our little customers are just as important as our big ones, so we decided it was time they had their very own menu,” says the team at The Greens venue. “It’s packed with fun, delicious, nutritious dishes – just like our main menu – so everyone is happy, including Mum and Dad!”

No dish on the kids’ menu is more than Dhs26 and there’s a range of sweet and savoury items. We especially like the look of this penne pasta with homemade tomato sauce (Dhs20, plus add an extra protein punch of chicken for Dhs6), as it’s fresh, wholesome, rustic fare that you’ll get most little ones to try with minimal effort (and complaining).

There’s lots on the brekkie side of things, too, including toast with peanut butter and banana slices (Dhs18), scrambled eggs on sourdough (Dhs20) or a toasted cheesy sandwich with sliced apple (Dhs20), which, quite frankly, we wouldn’t mind sampling ourselves (would they mind?).

Now for the best news – one child eats free from the kids’ menu when accompanied by one adult dining from the main menu. Pass that cappuccino, will you?
Dhs20. Open daily 8am-6pm. Emaar Business Park, The Greens (04 558 8141).
