Step into the bubble

Laugh your way around the pitch for the bounciest of birthday parties

It’s a craze somewhere between football and zorbing, and it has finally hit the shores of Dubai. Now, bubble soccer is proving to be the latest kids’ party idea.

The party
Bubble soccer is a twist on football, but, with this game, you roll across the floor in an inflatable bubble, trying to score goals against each other. The team will kit out your little crew in giant plastic orbs, explain the rules, referee and whip the kids up into a sweaty, excited frenzy. Parties can take place in your garden – if it’s big enough – or at their venue located in Al Quoz.

The package
The party package includes sports coordinators, drinking water for all players, three types of bubble games, venue hire, and all playing equipment. Games last for between 60 and 80 minutes, depending on the number of players.

The food
Food isn’t included, but you are more than welcome to order in for delivery if at home, or bring your own if you use their venue. Party rooms are available for the kids to eat in, sing Happy Birthday, cut the cake and also enjoy some table tennis, pool and Snookball (that’s another story...).

The cost
There needs to be a minimum of ten and up to a maximum of 16 children at Dhs120 per child. It costs Dhs100 per child for 16 kids or more. There is also an additional charge of Dhs300 if you would like to use a party room at the venue.

The tips
The recommended minimum age is eight years and over. The team is committed to keeping the kids safe – they’re supervised at all times and are held snugly in the bubble with handles positioned to allow them to control the movement.

The verdict
Probably the most fun your kids can have playing sports on a patch of grass (or in a hall) for 60 minutes. It won’t disappoint.
