Family dish of the Month: Ronda Locatelli

Kids eat for free at Ronda Locatelli at the Atlantis, Palm Jumeirah

What’s better than top-notch food from expert chefs? FREE top-notch food from expert chefs, of course. Parents, it’s time to celebrate, scrub up those little ones and head out for a family meal. For the next two months (until May 26), nine of mega hotel Atlantis The Palm’s restaurants are offering a meal for kids under 12.

Here at Time Out Kids, our pick is the family-friendly Ronda Locatelli. At Michelin-star chef Giorgio Locatelli’s Italian restaurant, kids can choose classic starters such as arancini, and a range of super-tasty traditional pizza and pastas. There’s also cotoletta di pollo con patate (fried chicken and chips) or pesce al vapore con spinaci (steamed fish with spinach).

If you’re a fan of Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen, then you’re in luck as well, as the British celebrity chef’s spot is part of the deal, too, offering up kids’ menu favourites including pizza, crispy chicken wings or macaroni cheese. And, if you have particularly discerning mini diners (who are aged between ten and 12 for this one), then take them to Nobu, as Michelin-starred Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa has planned a cultured kids’ list, with dishes including crispy rice with crab as well as sushi rolls and the famous miso black cod.

Seafire Steakhouse & Bar, Ayamna, YUAN, Nasimi Beach, Saffron and Kaleidoscope are taking part, too, so you’re sure to find something to suit the whole clan.
Free (kids under 12), with a paying adult holding Emirates ID. Until May 26. Call for timings for each outlet. Atlantis The Palm, Palm Jumeirah (04 426 2626).
