DuGym Rhythmic Gymnastics Club celebrates ten years of twirling

It’s not every gymnastic club that can boast their very own cup, but DuGym Rhythmic Gymnastics club can. The first of its kind in the UAE, the club is also one of the oldest and most respected, facilitating the rhythmic gymnastics training for girls from ages three to 16 years old. It is currently the only gymnastics club in the UAE offering the opportunity for its members to participate in International and FIG B level competitions. And having recently hosted the first-ever International Rhythmic Gymnastics competition in Dubai, and celebrating ten years of success in the city, they are now ready to kick up their heels (literally) and mark the occasion with style.

Over two fun-filled and action-packed days, more than 250 gymnasts will don their sparkly leotards and twirl, step and dance through some jaw-dropping routines. And the bonanza of graceful gymnastics will culminate with a thrilling performance by Rio 2016 Rhythmic Gymnastics Olympian Melitina Staniouta. So, if you have a little tumbler in your tribe or just fancy watching an exceptional display combining elements of ballet, gymnastics and dance, then don’t miss this very unique birthday party.

Free admission. Tenth anniversary competition: Fri May 12, 12pm-4pm. Gala show with 2016 Olympian Melitina Staniouta: Fri May 12, 5.30pm; Masterclass with 2016 Olympian Melitina Staniouta: Sat May 13, 10am-4pm. Collegiate American School, Umm Suqeim 2, www.dugym.com.
