What is Little Stream Nursery?

A Dubai-based facility introduces us to an all-round curriculum


Curriculum: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Maths).

Age range: Four months to four years.

Nursery opening hours: Sun-Thu 7.30am-6pm.

Prices per term: Term fees range from Dhs6,750 to Dhs15,000, depending on choice of five, three or two-day options as well as part-time hours (until 1pm or 3pm) or full-time (until 6pm).

Discounts: The nursery provides group discounts if parents register as a group. A 15 percent sibling discount is also provided, while the nursery offers a Dhs500 cash incentive for the successful registration of a child referred by a parent.

Additional fees: A Dhs1,000 deposit is required, with the fee refundable upon graduation or withdrawal from the nursery. A Dhs500 registration fee is also required.

Facilities: The nursery has eight classrooms and two indoor play areas with play structures made with non-toxic natural wood, role play equipment, sensory equipment, climbing walls, and a slide. The nursery also boasts a music and movement room, a library, a science lab, as well as an engineering room. The nursery has a very large outdoor play area covered with 50mm rubber flooring to minimize cuts and bruises, as well as a jungle gym, climbing hill, crawling tunnel, mini-suspension bridge, built-in trampoline, a gazebo, a bicycle track, vegetable garden, and sand and water play area.

Activities: The nursery teaches four languages: English (primary), Arabic and French (secondary), Spanish (tertiary). They also have a partnership with the American University in Dubai's "Women in STEM" program where two young engineers visit the nursery to conduct a science class with the students every month. In addition, the nursery has Little Chefs classes, Splash Days, Little Gardeners classes, Messy play weeks, Little Artists classes, and Little Shakers classes among its activities.

Food/drink: Food and drink is provided at an additional charge of Dhs23 per day.
