Miss Adkins interview

The Year 3 teacher gets all nostalgic about her own school days in the UK

Where did you go to school?
Longfleet Primary School and St. Edward’s School in Dorset.

What was your favourite subject?
Definitely English! I loved reading books and writing stories. I enjoyed learning about language, famous authors and literature and it is now my favourite subject to teach, too.

What was the naughtiest thing you did in school?
I was always in trouble for talking too much and I was a little bit cheeky. Some things never change!

What is your happiest memory from your school days?
My friends and all the fun we had during lessons, break times and trips. My best friend from the first day of primary school is still my best friend today, even though we live on different sides of the world!

Who was your most inspirational teacher and why?
I was very lucky to have many amazing teachers who inspired a love of learning in me that I aim to pass on to my students.
