Finding ways to encourage children to exercise can be a challenge in itself, which is why a summer camp can be so effective. NRG Fitness, located in Dubai Marina, is a high-tech gym space packed with the latest equipment, designed to inspire even the laziest layabouts.

That’s all well and good for adults but what about gym bunny parents? They often have to schedule workouts during free time because what are they supposed to do with their beloved brats while they try and spin that cheesecake off their hips? Answer: take them along to have a workout of their own. NRG Fitness has created a summer camp, which runs until September 3 and is packed with exciting classes aimed at kids.

The classes created are mini versions of adult faves. Zumba, for example, has been modified by NRG trainers for little movers and shakers, but if your youngster is a big fan of rap (obviously the SFW version), they will love the hip-hop dance sessions.

Remember being young (think back) and obsessed with becoming The Karate Kid? Give your child the opportunity to please even the toughest Mr. Miyagi with a few NRG Fitness Karate or Kickboxing classes.

Regular gym users needn’t worry their space is about to be taken over by vertically challenged fitness fans. Kids classes take place from 2pm to 3pm, Sunday to Thursday. At the same time you can take advantage of discounted parents’ sessions.
