Two free things to do in Dubai this weekend with the family

Watch the movie Boss Baby and shop a new organic market in Dubai

Dubai is such a family-friendly city and if you live in Downtown (or you’re willing to take the trip), Bay Avenue in Business Bay will be hosting an event with tons of kid-friendly stuff to do.

The Avenue’s outdoor green area, next to the skating park, will transform into an open-air cinema with bean bags, popcorn, candyfloss and much more, while you enjoy the all-time animated hit Boss Baby.

The 2018 Golden Globe-nominated comedy tells the story of a suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby’s dramatic attempt to stop an evil plot with the help of his seven-year-old brother.

Before the screening, little guests can brush up on their artistic skills at cup-painting, hat-making and face-painting workshops.

Free. Fri Jan 26, 5pm-9pm. Bay Avenue, Business Bay (800 374).

Looking for a “greener” weekend event? There’s a new Organic Souk popping up at Marsa Plaza Creek. The brand-new farmers’ market, taking place every Saturday, is a fun-filled family affair – with some delicious farm-fresh goods.

At the Organic Souk, you’ll find an array of goods sold directly from those who have been growing them, while enjoying food trucks and an edutainment area featuring a mini petting zoo with a variety of farm animals including ducks, chickens and rabbits.

That’s a whole lot of fun for your weekends!
Free. Sat Jan 27, 8am-2pm. And every Sat until April. Marsa Plaza Creek, Dubai Festival City (800 332).
