Reform Social & Grill review

A proper British pub, which has a top garden for kids

Is there anything better than soaking up some winter sun with the family while relaxing in a proper British pub garden? We can’t think of many, and happily, Reform Social & Grill is here to provide just that.

Housed at The Lakes Club, Reform Social & Grill has long been a popular spot with families, and for good reason. Little ones have room to roam and play, the mood is chilled-out, and parents can dig into some tasty pub grub.

And if it’s traditional food you’re looking for, you won’t be disappointed. An extensive menu boasts all the favourites. Don’t miss the fish and chips, which is a massive portion, cooked perfectly with tender fish housed in a crispy and not at all greasy coating. If you finish it all, give yourself a pat on the back (and maybe a well-deserved lie down on the grass).

The full English fry-ups are also of epic proportions and are worth sampling, while the roasts are top-notch if you’re hankering for some proper roasties and a ginormous Yorkshire pud bathed in rich gravy.

For the kids, well there’s an excellent menu (which is divided into two age groups) with pasta, burgers et al and, of course, that famous ice cream parlour that’s sure to make everyone grin.

That’s the whole gang sorted next weekend, then.
Open daily 8am-midnight. Licensed. The Lakes (04 454 2638).
