The school principal reflects on lab sessions in physics and time in the naughty corner

Where did you go to school?
In a small community in Texas in the US.

What was your favourite subject and why?
Physics was my favourite because I had a teacher who included lab time in almost every class. This meant I could “play and learn” with my hands, not just with my ears and pencil and paper.

What’s your most memorable school moment?
I graduated into the 9th grade despite my 6th grade teacher telling me I would never make it out of 6th grade.

Did you ever get sent to the naughty corner and why?
Of course! I was continuously asking the teacher “why?” and “yes, but why?” I was inquisitive(I still am, by the way).
