Kids’ cooking classes you must try

Little ones will learn to make everything from sushi to lasagne

Time for the little ones to treat mum! Kids love getting messy in the kitchen and we have just the opportunity for them to do so.

Here are two cooking classes the kids will love:

Barilla Academy
At Barilla’s cooking classes, one hour of fun is the equivalent of heaps of yum Italian food. Chef Rita and her team will guide your kiddies as they make traditional Italian lasagne.

A great day out for kids aged four to 12, they also get to take away a mini Barilla apron and hat.
Dhs40 per kids, a maximum of 15 kids per session. 5pm-6pm, Thursdays and Sundays, March 1-8. Various locations, Barilla Restaurant, 1st floor, Dubai Festival City Mall, Dubai. (04 706 8131).

The Chef’s Palette
Fairmont the Palm’s cooking classes will teach kids how to make all-time favourites and healthy-yet-tasty treats.

The weekly, 2-hour interactive classes run for eight-ten weeks, and are taught by Michelin-trained Chef Romain Van Durmen.

Designed for kids aged ten to 14 years old, the aspiring chefs will get a personalised apron and all cooking ingredients.

They can head to Fairmont’s cooking studio, The Chef’s Palette, to cook up some pasta, sushi and desserts.
Dhs1,200 for eight weeks. 4pm-6pm, Mondays and Tuesdays from Apr 16. The Chef’s Palette, Fairmont, The Palm. (04 457 3457).
