Experience Brazil at Yas Mall

Festival to bring the best of the South American country to the capital

When we think of Brazil, we think of colourful carnivals, yum snacks and a pulsating atmosphere.

If you’re looking to get a taste of Brazil, you’ll have to attend the Brazilian Festival taking place this Thursday February 22 to Saturday February 25 at Yas Mall.

The festival will showcase lively samba performances and pop-ups offering artistic Brazilian gifts and the tastiest Latin American food at the mall’s Town Square.

Meant to bridge social and cultural gaps with Brazil, the South American fest will see Brazilian dancers moving the crowds to the rhythm, plus Brazil’s answer to Mickey Mouse, cartoon character Monica & Friends.

The characters will entertain kids of all ages with their imaginative and funny performances. Joining Monica will be local children’s favourite character, Majid, proving friendship between these nations can begin from childhood.

For those who want to bring home a memento of Brazil, the vibrant Brazilian pop-ups at Town Square will be filled with Brazilian products from vendors including cosmetics and souvenirs.

“The Brazilian Carnival is known all over the world for its amazing dances and colourful costumes. At Yas Mall, we wanted to inject some more fun and entertainment into our 2018 calendar,” says Saoud Khoory, general manager of Yas Mall.

If you’ve ever wanted to visit Brazil, it’s no longer a plane ticket away.
Free. Thu Feb 22 to Sat Feb 25 6.30pm onwards. Brazilian Festival, Yas Mall, Yas West, Abu Dhabi, www.yasmall.ae (800 927 6255).
